Welcome  Cover Artist   Artists    Galleries   Articles   Events  About Us
The Colorado Collector's Guide is a beginning of a consolidation of talented Colorado artists and artisans to create a venue and promote Colorado's creative community and the galleries and specialty shops that present them. Many of these artists are seen in Taos, and Santa Fe, Dallas and Houston, Scottsdale and Phoenix, New York and Connecticut and the east coast, Los Angeles, San Francisco and the west coast. Some show around the world! Now come see them here in Colorado.

Artist and gallery owner Connie Williams of the Apple Shed in Cedaredge is a driving force behind the Colorado Collector's Guide and expanded promotion of the arts here. “I want to promote Colorado art from Colorado artists, in Colorado,” she says.

Artist and publisher Kathryn Retzler packaged it, gathering artists and galleries in one publication. She has long supported the arts and promoted artists with the San Juan Silver Stage. The magazine is now in its twelfth year and is distributed throughout the western states with a very active website. "Western Colorado is earning a well-deserved reputation as a fine arts destination," Retzler notes.

Artist, gallery owner, musician, writer, and all-around Renaissance Woman, Barbara Torke is the Editor of the Colorado Collector's Guide and has volunteered countless hours to getting the guide into print.

Together with local and regional artists and gallery owners, these creative women are spearheading an exciting venture.

The Colorado Collector’s Guide, Western Edition, will be available in the spring of 2008
